Playing on the iPod: "Holy Is The Lord" by Chris Tomlin, "Wholly Yours" by David Crowder Band and "We've Come To Declare" by Shane & Shane.
I think it's fair to say that I've been brought low by the 'little things' that have been happening lately. As such, life seems to have gotten better by just experiencing some good 'little things'.
I'm really enjoying my time as bass player on my music team at church. I am making progress in my goal to get all of the leaves out of my yard. I spent a good amount of time cleaning the house this weekend. That has me feeling proud of that.
Brian and Stacey made a special trip to stop by and hang out at the house last night. They brought Mackenzie and we had a good time just talking and spending time together. Stacey and I found ourselves agreeing on the idea of leaving Florida in the next few years. It was a small thing, but it was a confirmation that the three of us are, indeed, on the same page. We talked about some of things happening in all of our lives that seem to be molding us for the future. It was nice to forget all the extra stuff and realize that we're still on track with the real reason we're here - the continual molding and shaping of us by God for His purpose.
It looks like I'm going to be getting a roommate within the next two weeks. This looks to be a good thing. He needs a place to be on his own, close to work, yet somewhat close to church and family. It will be extra money for me eveyr month. Plus, it will a good challenge for me. I've been living without considering others for a while now. Having someone else in the house will make me more responsible and more motivated. Plus, Aaron's going to be a bit of a challenge, but in a good way. I'll have an opportunity to model for him the life of a young man who's living for the purposes of God. I can already tell that he's going to give me stuff to pray about!
I'm heading to Mount Dora this week to babysit little Kenzie - yay!
