Friends & Family

I'm not a home owner yet...

Playing on the iPod: "Creed" by Third Day, "Revolution Cry" by Steve Fee and "The Vision" by Charlie Hall.

I sent out an e-mail this week to some friends about this house I'm buying. After some thought, I figured it would make a good blog entry.

"Hey folks,

I've told you all about this house that I am trying to buy. There have
been some complications during the process that have made me a little
crazy. I wanted to share them with you:

A New Kind of Joy

Playing on the iPod: "For The Love Of You" by Joss Stone, "Human Nature" by Boyz II Men and "Let Mercy Lead" by Rich Mullins.

It's strange how life works. Not the world, not the system - life. For the past three months, I have witnessed 3 transformations...

Kenzie's here!

Mackenzie Abbott was born to parents Brian and Stacey Abbott at 3:38pm on Sunday, November 20, 2005. She weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. and was 20 inches long. Mom, dad and baby are all doing great.

Pictures to come!

Another Milestone

Playing on the iPod: "Lead Us Up the Mountain" by Matt Redman, "Mansions" by Burlap to Cashmere, "One Day at a Time" by Jeremy Camp.

Thank God for Internet access. I suppose the saying is true: 'you don't know what you've got til it's gone'. There's been a few times that I've wanted to post an entry here. For one reason or another, I never got around to it.

Being a Real Man

Playing on the iPod: "Lazarus, Come Forth" by Carman, "I See You" by Rich Mullins, "Doxology" by David Crowder Band and "My Love" by Bebo Norman.

I want to proclaim something in a very heterosexual manner: I love men! I love it when men come together to love one another with the love of Jesus. I love to see two men hug each other with the joy of being brothers in Christ. I love to see men praying for each other with a zeal and passion to have God break through in their lives somehow. I love men who have had enough of being disgusted by what's going on around them and, instead of just letting it happen, choose to stand up and do something about it. I love men who realize that there are far too many other men in the world doing nothing for themselves, for others, or for God. I love men who want to fulfill their purpose as men created by God.
