WAKE UP, CHURCH!!!!!!!

Playing on the jukebox: "Consuming Fire" by Tim Hughes, "Revival In The Land" by Carman, and "America" by Chris Tomlin.

I was listening to Carman yesterday morning. "Revival In The Land" is a call for the church to WAKE UP!!! It reminded me that revival starts with us! If we want to see this world changed, we need to pray. If we want the people around us to know Jesus, we have to pray. If we want to win the war against Satan and sin, we have to pray.

In fact, all we can do is pray. We have no strength in ourselves to do anything else. This entire Christian life is a life of asking. Asking for strength, asking for peace, asking for blessings - asking for His will to be done on earth. All we have to do is ask and He will give, according to His will. He wants people to know Him. Of course He'll give us that!

How bad do we want people to know Him?!

Matthew 23:27

Playing on the jukebox: "Everything" by Lifehouse, "Crucified" by Salvador, and "Holy Lord" by Ron Kenoly.

Life 1 - Me 0

Playing on the jukebox: "Our God is With Us", "All About Love" and "My Redeemer is Faithful and True" by Steven Curtis Chapman.

This week is going fast...kinda. I suppose it's because I've been busy doing stuff even while not at work. Mostly, I've been concerned with helping Will get the CD done for his girlfriend. I volunteered to help him make the CD and the label, and I've just been coming up with more ideas since (case labels, graphics, track listing order, etc.). I'm not doing it because I'm a control freak. I just think of ways that this can be an even better gift for her and then come up with ways to make it happen. That's something you can always count on with me - my gifts are always top-notch.

...if My people will humble themselves and pray...

Playing on the jukebox: "Salvation Belongs to Our God" by Crystal Lewis, "Oh Lead Me" by Planet Youth Church and "Innocent" by Third Day (off their new CD "Wire").

Our weekly guys' bible study just got done and I am, once again, pumped about how God can work through me despite my junk. This weekend saw me behaving in a less than stellar manner. Yet, God still would not let that interfere with Him making the truth of Him know to those guys I was teaching tonight. God redeems and restores and it's great to see it in action!
